Irvine City set aside pre-match Injury worries, namely Smiths big toe splinter, Browns jetlag following his commute from Redlands and Richardson's big toe bee sting to overcome Alliance select 3-1.
Murphys' superb scoring streak continued as he opened the scoring following an indirect free kick delivered by Richardson. The free-kick: a result of an Alliance Select keeper seemingly unable to remember that he can only pick up the ball once after a strike from Lill.
