Jones and Nick the Greek provided the customary ICFC on field fight prior to the break. 1-0 was the score as the teams recommenced the second half and the lead was soon doubled. Winter Douglas picked up his first assist of the season, feeding Richardson who picked up the ball just inside the half, ran towards the goal and easily slotted home, hamstring and bee sting problems aside.
The rest of the half was a formality as Mark Murphy put the game out of sight, steering in a cool left foot finish after a pass from Redlands native, Dave Brown. Cries of “we can see you sneaking out!” began to ring around the clover covered, orange lined field. To put icing on a little kids cake, Murphy could have easily claimed a hat-trick following a superbly flighted cross from Defriend.
